Waterford

We parked the little van up away from the city centre and walked into town. We just missed out on the walking tour which started at 12.00pm and we were a little bit disappointed as we have really enjoyed the past walking tours we have been on. But we had shiny crystals to see! We went for a guided tour around the Waterford Crystal Centre which set us back 12.50 euros each but we both really enjoyed it. It is just amazing to see how the products are made and how much they are worth!

Waterford on the whole seemed like a really nice town and seemed like the people that lived there had a bit of money.

Fancy clock, so fancy that they haven't put a price on it!

The wood moulds that are used

This mould is used to make the trophy for the Shriners Hospital Charity golf tournament that Justin Timberlake hosted

One of the workers hard at work blowing glass (well here he isn't)

The process from when the mould is cleaned to when it is finished

Paul feeling brave holding the American Football trophy

Some snaps of work in progress

Beautiful harp

Another stunning piece of work

We really liked this bowl... if only we could afford it! The coloured crystal made a come back in the Millennium

The world globe

Want to purchase this? That will be 30,000 euros thanks
