Rock of Cashel

To be fair we weren't really feeling Kilkenny so we wanted to find somewhere a bit different to the towns we had been to. We picked up a leaflet about the different scenic routes you could take to Waterford (this was the next stop) and we saw Cashel as one of the places to see. So as we don't really have any time limits we trucked along to Cashel.

We arrived at about 6pm and parked up to walk up towards the Rock of Cashel and beyond. The Rock of Cashel, also known as St Patrick's Rock, was the seat of the High King of Munster for several hundreds years prior to the Norman Invasion. We unfortunately didn't get to see the structure from the inside as it was closed.

It was such a lovely night and we are starting to finally see some warmish spring weather! Check out the video on our video page as well.

  1. It looks like chips but I can't pick out the other part of the meal. Good to hear the old weather is starting to warm up. It will make the travelling much more pleasant.
I don't get the arch thing either, but kids will be kids.
