We stayed at a campsite for two nights as Paul wasn't feeling the best and we wanted to chill out a bit. I know it might sound weird that we wanted to chill, but it can get tiring thinking of things to do each day, getting out sightseeing, finding parks, finding a place to stay and everything else. So we also eased ourselves into looking around Interlaken. In Interlaken we went up the funicular to the Harder Klum lookout point. This was cool as you could see the two lakes in which Interlaken is positioned between and we grabbed a beer to enjoy our view even more.
As we had paid tourist tax, we received a card which allowed us free transport and a discount on the funicular which was originally 28 francs each, return and we got it for 13 francs each, return. Again, like every village, town and city we have visited in Switzerland, Interlaken was no exception and was a really nice town.
Although BEWARE there are pickpocketers! I was casually walking along, and I am a massive people watcher, when I noticed this lady looking into this other lady's handbag as she was walking along. I instantly knew what she was thinking/about to do. The pickpocketer followed the owner into a shop. I had to follow and stop what was about to happen.
So following them both in myself and ushering Paul in as well, I saw the lady take something out of the owner's bag. I immediately told the owner what was happening and Paul had positioned himself to stop the pickpocketer. She dropped the envelope she had taken and acted all innocent over the matter. She then escaped. The owner then told me she was grateful as the envelope had cash in it and I could see it had her passport as well. Always be weary of your bags when sightseeing as you never know who is looking in!
