Salamanca

Salamanca is a university town and the university is one of Spain's oldest. Due to the university, as well as tourism (obviously) there were a lot of English speaking people around the town (compared with other towns we had recently visited).  It was also a bit more commercialised than the other smaller towns, and had the odd English styled pub dotted around the place. Nevertheless, we really enjoyed checking out the sights and enjoyed a spot of lunch in the town.
