Monet's house and garden

Today we headed to Monet's house and garden as it had been recommended to us by a friend of ours. Monet maintained a magnificent garden and didn't like organised or constrained gardens, so there are flowers everywhere and some standard flowers, with ones you haven't seen before.

As you move on further into the garden you go under the railway line to his other garden, the water garden. This is where his famous water lily painting can be seen in real life. Back when Monet owned the property he would have had to cross the railway and the road to get to his garden.

We then moved onto the house and my what a big house it is! He had a lovely big dining area and massive kitchen, something I would love to have one day ha.
