Kilt rock and Mealt falls

On our drove around the Isle of Skye we stopped in at Kilt Rock and Mealt falls. The cliff that you see in the second picture is said to resemble a kilt with the vertical basalt columns forming the pleats and the intruding sills of dolerite forming the pattern. Near Kilt Rock is Mealt falls, a waterfall which freefalls off the cliff into the Sound of Raasay below. Again great examples of the lovely scenery on show!

Can you see a Kilt?

Out into the big wide world!
