Ring of Kerry

The beginning of the Ring of Kerry was Kenmare which was where we had stayed that night. We had a nosey around the little town which had some nice little shops and where I tried to convince Paul we needed to stop in for morning tea, but he wasn't buying it.

From here we proceeded around the coast and stopped in at a lovely waterfall on the way to Killarney called Torc Waterfall. Our next stop was Cahersiveen where we visited some free attractions (yay) one of which was a castle ruins. The other was the Cahergall stone fort where they believe somebody of importance would have lived in, around 1,000 years ago!

Our next little break was in Waterville where they have a statue of Charlie Chaplin on the waterfront. The scenery around the ring of Kerry is lovely we took some cool photos, hopefully reflecting what it is like. There is also a short video on the caste ruins. The drive didn't take as long as we thought it would, as we set out from Kenmare at about 11am and finished at about 5pm, with the above stops along the way. Obviously there is a lot more to do than what we did and you could take a good two days to soak it all in.
