Inveraray is a little town and one of the attractions we wanted to see was the castle. The castle is the ancestral home of the Duke of Argyll and in 2012 the Christmas episode of the popular t.v show, Downtown Abbey, was partly filmed here. It is definitely your typical fairy book castle and the inside is in very good condition, I guess because the family has always lived in it. Here are a few snaps of the outside, the inside and the castle gardens.
