Glenfinnan momument

 
 A lovely setting for this memorial by the shore of Loch Shiel, it was erected in 1815 to commemorate the rising of the standard. You can walk up to the top where the statue is and get great views over the loch. The statue on top is of an anonymous Highlander in a kilt. Opposite the memorial is the Glenfinnan viaduct which has starred in various films, the one most people will know is Harry Potter. Trains still cross the viaduct and they would get amazing views from here.
