Memories flooded back to me when I stepped onto the rocks at the Giant's causeway. I remember bouncing along the rocks fearing the edge as the water crashed against the funny shaped rocks. I was much younger then and more agile but it was so cool to be back and to have Paul with me.
We arrived at the Giant's causeway at about 7pm and at that time of the day the lighting (to us) is always better and there were less people which is always a bonus. We spent a bit of time just looking around the rocks and then made our way high up the countryside to see the 'organ' and view the ocean from above.
We spent the night in the car park at the Giant's causeway as we wanted to visit the visitor's centre in the morning. The Giant's causeway is run by the national trust so we didn't have to pay anything to park or get in which was great. We really liked the centre and we think it is worth going to as it is very informative and interactive.
