Roman Adequeduct

It was adios to Spain and bonjour again to France. However, before leaving Spain we had a bit of trouble with our battery as the car wouldn’t start at the campsite and we had to get jump started. Thinking that was the end of our worries we drove on into France. But we had the same trouble and had to call AA. Turns out we needed to buy another battery, but it was hard to figure out if this was the only problem as the guy who came to help us didn’t speak English and basically didn’t acknowledge us when he knew we couldn’t speak a word of French, another fun experience in France!
Driving up the coast we were headed for Nimes where we visited the Pont du Gard, the Roman Aqueduct. We got our bikes out as the poor things hadn’t been used in a while and biked to the aqueduct which was buzzing with people eating, drinking and people were swimming in the river. It was really nice down by the river with the aqueduct as a backdrop and we had a nice afternoon walking and biking around.
