The Hague

Off to Holland we were going! Jumping onto the ferry at 9am we had a nice clear day cruising over to the Hook of Holland. Our first destination for Holland was Den Haag. We have been desperate to buy bikes, with Holland being mad on biking, that we set out in the morning to find two bikes for a reasonable price. This didn't happen! So on foot we went into the centre of Den Haag to have a look around. Wow, what a stunner of a city! The city was so clean and easy to get around and the people were really friendly. So far, Holland has been great and is definitely a place we could live in.

We noticed that the Terracotta Army exhibition was on so when went and had a look. It cost €12.00 each and we both enjoyed the exhibition. Check out some of the photos below, just extraordinary to think about how they crafted the army! We walked a lot today as we also went down to the Peace Palace and went through the visitors centre and learnt more about the Peace Palace. Being a law nerd, I loved this part it was really cool to see it and I wish it had of been opened to have a look through. Very interesting.

Making our way back to the van with very sore feet and wishing we could have a bath, we called it a night and fell wearily into bed!

To the beach! On another walking mission today, we made our way to the coast where we saw a large display of Volkswagen cars/vans, indulged in Churros, see pic below, and had a general nosey around the pleasure pier.
