Delft

Trucking along to Delft, which is south of' Den Haag and not far away at all, we had a few things planned and again we were on the look out for some bikes. We made our way to the market square checking out the sights and finishing off the sightseeing with nice cold beer and some snacks!

Feeling slightly frustrated with not finding appropriate bikes for ourselves we thought we would try another place, Leiden. And viola! We found our little cruisers and for a reasonable price. So with the bikes chained on the back we headed back to Delft to head along a bike route we had seen. We loved biking out in the countryside with everyone, the scenery was so nice and the biking routes make it so easy to get around. On our travels we found a nice little lake where we saw another camper parked, so after biking back to the van we returned there for our dinner as it was a lovely spot. All up I think we biked for about 10kms and you could definitely bike a lot more. But with not being regular bikers our bum muscles were becoming a bit tender! Plenty more biking to come with Amsterdam being our next city.

  1. I always thought that Delft was famous for crockery and things like that? When I was young you have to be careful with the Delft which was crockery.
